Muwulya Derrick

Derrick , a bright student from Uganda Martyrs University, stood on the brink of completing his internship at Emetack. As he approached the final days of his internship, he reflected on how much he had learned and how it would shape his future.

From the moment he stepped into Emetack, Muwulya was captivated by the vibrant learning environment. He eagerly attended classes on web development, mobile app programming, and networking. His instructors and field supervisors noticed his dedication and frequently praised his innovative ideas.

As Muwulya stepped out of Emetack for the final time, he felt empowered and ready to take on new challenges. He dreamed of building applications that could help other students succeed, improve local businesses, and enhance educational resources.

No longer just a student, Derrick was a young innovator poised to shape the future of technology in Uganda. Driven by the lessons learned at Emetack and the wisdom he carried from Uganda Martyrs University, Muwulya Derrick was determined to make a lasting impact in Africa, demonstrating the transformative power of technology in the lives of those around him.

Nabandeke Iryne

March 3, 2024; a day that feels like any other, yet carries the weight of my dreams. As a child, I dreamt of becoming a nurse. I don't know when that dream began to fade, but somewhere along the way, I discovered a different passion.

After high school, I took a leap of faith, becoming a graphic designer. It was a path I never expected to walk, but it felt right. I poured my heart into every project, each design a reflection of my journey, my struggles, and my hopes.

My sister’s husband chose to train at Emetack, a place that felt like a second home to me. I found inspiration there, reminding me that every choice we make is a step toward who we are meant to be.

Now, I can say I love what I do. Yet, a part of me still mourns the nurse I could have been. I realize that dreams don’t always follow a straight path; sometimes, they twist and turn, leading us to unexpected places.

To the young girls out there, I urge you: don’t be swayed by fleeting distractions. Hold tight to your true passions. Pursue your career with all your heart, for it’s in that pursuit that you’ll find your purpose

Last year, I joined Emetack as a student in Computer Applications, Office Practice, and Computer-Aided Graphics Design. The experience I gained here has been invaluable, equipping me with the skills to share my knowledge with others. Emetack has truly been a nurturing environment for me, and I am proud to say that I am now part of this wonderful community. I have been retained, and I invite you all to join us on this journey of growth and learning together.

As I begin my journey in this amazing place, I can already feel the warmth and support surrounding me. This is just my first week, yet I have found everything to be incredibly favorable. On my very first day, I met new friends who share my dreams and aspirations.

My name is Ssenyonga Sadat Abdallah, and I come from the vibrant town of Masaka, Uganda. It’s a place filled with dreams, hopes, and the laughter of children. Recently, I embarked on a journey that has changed my life forever. I joined Emetack for Computer-Aided Graphics Designing, a chance to advance my skills and transform my future. Just last month, I had the privilege of sharing this experience with my little sister.

I spend my weekends at Emetack, immersing myself in my studies alongside my younger sister, who now joins me regularly. There’s something truly special about the quiet environment that helps me focus and reflect on every design I create. The soft hum of computers and the gentle scratch of pencils fill the air with purpose.
