From Dreams to Determination:
The Story of Nanyondo Nakaweesi Agness

Agness was born on July 15, 2005, in Malongo Village, Kyazanga, Lwengo District, an area that was formerly part of the Greater Masaka District. She is the third-born in a family of six children and the eldest daughter. Agness spent most of her childhood under the care of her mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for the family despite many financial challenges.

Her educational journey began at Lord Cares Primary School in Katovu before she continued her primary education at Victory Town School in Kyazanga. She later joined Nakateete Secondary School in Kyazanga, Lwengo District, where she pursued her secondary education.

I will always cherish the relationships I built with my mentors, friends, and colleagues. Their guidance and support taught me the true essence of teamwork, resilience, and the courage to pursue my dreams. Emetack has taught me that success is not just a destination but a journey of growth and learning.

Throughout her years in school, Agness dreamed of becoming a nurse. She was passionate about caring for people and hoped to serve her community through the medical profession. However, like many talented young people from financially challenged families, her dream was interrupted by the inability to raise school fees. Although she was unable to continue toward nursing, she refused to let her circumstances define her future.

Determined to build a better life, Agness chose to develop practical skills that would enable her to earn a living. She trained and gained experience in hairdressing, working in Kinoni Town for one year before expanding her experience by working in Entebbe and Kampala for five months. She later joined Number One Unisex Salon in Masaka City, where she further strengthened her professional skills and customer service experience.

Believing that continuous learning creates new opportunities, Agness enrolled in professional training at Emetack, where she acquired valuable skills in Bookkeeping, Accounting, and General Computer Applications. These courses prepared her for a broader career in administration, business management, and office operations.

Her dedication, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic opened a new chapter in her career. In June 2026, Agness was appointed Manager at Multi Online Marketplace, where she now applies her leadership abilities, business knowledge, and customer service experience to help the organization grow.

Today, Agness's journey is a powerful reminder that although some dreams may change because of life's challenges, determination, resilience, and continuous learning can lead to new opportunities and meaningful success. Her story inspires many young people to keep moving forward, believing that setbacks are not the end of the journey but the beginning of a different path toward achieving their purpose.
