Internship Experience for
Baguma Gerald

As a student from Uganda Martyrs University, I quickly realized that internships are much more than just making coffee or photocopying documents. They are invaluable for networking, gaining practical experience, and finding the path to your dream job.

Participating in an internship is a vital aspect of my undergraduate degree. At Emetack, I had the opportunity to work closely with a team dedicated to transforming communities through innovative technology solutions. The range of internships that Emetack offers annually is impressive, providing students with direct access to real business environments and hands-on learning.

Initially, I explored internship positions at larger corporations across Uganda and other African cities. However, discovering Emetack completely changed my perspective. The company's mission and innovative approach deeply resonated with me, and I was eager to experience a dynamic and challenging work environment.

What surprised me most was how seamlessly the team collaborated. Each full-time employee at Emetack brings a unique background to the table, creating a well-rounded team. Their diverse experiences contributed significantly to our collective goals, enriching my understanding of teamwork in a professional setting.

Working at Emetack was a continuous learning journey. The environment mirrored the group work dynamics I experienced at university, but it also brought the added challenge of real-world applications and strategies. This internship not only enhanced my technical skills but also helped me grow personally and professionally.

Through my time at Emetack, I felt a strong connection to their mission of community empowerment and technology innovation. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to applying everything I've learned as I continue my academic and professional journey.
