Our story is not just about a company. It is about a dream, a struggle, and a commitment to change lives through technology.

My name is Joseph Jjuuko, Founder and Executive Director of Emetack Uganda.

I started Emetack with a simple belief:

Technology should not only belong to the people who can afford it. It should create opportunities for ordinary people, young people, entrepreneurs, schools, and communities.

But building that dream has not been easy.

Emetack started in Uganda with very little capital, limited resources, and no powerful investors behind us. We started small, worked from rented spaces, used whatever equipment was available, and kept moving forward even when things became extremely difficult.

There were times when we thought the dream was over.

There were moments when the business had to close its doors because we could no longer afford to operate.

But every time we fell, we started again.

We failed. We learned. We rebuilt. And we kept believing.

Today, Emetack is still standing.

We have worked with businesses, organizations, schools, students and individuals, providing technology services including software development, websites, mobile applications, graphic design, digital training, hosting, business systems and other ICT solutions.

But we believe we can do much more.

The bigger dream

Uganda has a young population full of talent, creativity and ambition.

Yet many young people do not have access to the computers, internet, practical ICT training, mentorship and technology resources they need to turn their ideas into opportunities.

That is why we want to take Emetack beyond being simply a technology company.

We want to build a Digital Skills and Innovation Centre where young people can learn, create, experiment, develop businesses and use technology to solve real problems in their communities.

We want to train people in areas such as:

  • Computer applications and digital literacy
  • Software and web development
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Graphic design and digital creativity
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business technology
  • Digital marketing
  • Database and information systems
  • Mobile technology
  • Innovation and problem-solving

Our goal is to create opportunities for young Ugandans who may have the passion and potential but lack the resources to begin.

Why we are asking for your help

We have the passion.

We have the experience.

We have the vision.

What we need now is support to build the foundation for the next chapter.

We are raising funds to help Emetack acquire and develop the facilities, computers, internet infrastructure, learning equipment, furniture and other resources required to establish a sustainable digital skills and innovation centre.

We are also seeking support to expand our technology operations so that Emetack can create more jobs, train more young people and develop technology solutions for communities and businesses.

Our dream is simple:

One computer can teach a person a skill.

One skill can create an opportunity.

One opportunity can change a family.

And thousands of opportunities can help transform a generation.

Emetack began with a small dream.
